Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) President Rizly Ilyas made a courtesy call on Air Marshal Sudharshana Pathirana at the Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters in Colombo yesterday.
Both discussed the SLR Inter-Club Rugby Sevens, which is expected to kick off on 20 March at Ratmalana. The second leg will be worked off on 26-27 March at the same venue. Five teams, namely, Sri Lanka Air Force, Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Police, Sri Lanka Navy and Havelock SC will battle it out, with some clubs fielding two teams each to fit the maximum of eight teams to be fielded. A few games are expected to be played under lights and all games will be held under strict health guidelines. (SJ)
