Top class young golfer Sachin De Silva won his maiden Donald Steel Trophy at the Gents Gross event at the 2021 edition of the Donald Steel Trophy which took place at the Victoria Golf and Country Resort (VGCR) last weekend.

Youngster Kayla Perera once again showed her class by accounting for the Ladies Gross win in the Pam Fernando Trophy event.

More than 80 golfers teed off in the colourful event which was hosted by the well-maintained golf course at Rajawella for the record 23rd year in tandem.

He won on the 33 score count back while youngster, Nirek Tejwani too scored 33 ending as second best.
