Sameera and Sandeesha to participate in Baseball League in UAE

Two Sri Lanka National Team baseball players, Sameera Rathnayake and Sandeesha Meegoda, along with the Secretary General of the Sri Lanka Baseball Association, Wing Commander Mark Fonseka left the country yesterday to participate in the Baseball United UAE League from 14 to 18 February which will take place in Dubai as a franchise league.

Rathnayake and Meegoda were assured to show their skills on the field as players in the league, while Wing Commander Mark Fonseka will serve as a tournament official and also gain valuable experience.

This marks a significant opportunity for Sri Lankan baseball on the international stage, providing valuable exposure for both the players and the sport in Sri Lanka. The Sri Lanka Baseball Association sees this participation as a crucial step in developing and promoting baseball within the country.
