Sanath Jayasuriya loses father

The father of Sri Lanka’s legendary cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya, Dunston Jayasuriya has passed away at the age of 80 after a prolonged illness. His funeral takes place at Matara today.

Dambulla Viiking fast bowling coach Chamila Gamage has also lost his father a couple of days ago.

Players from Colombo Kings and Galle Gladiators teams playing in the first LPL semi-final at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium yesterday wore black armbands as a mark of respect.
