Sangakkara makes ICC test team of the decade

The now 43-year-old left-hander, who is the only Sri Lankan cricketer to make the team, was included as the team’s designated wicketkeeper in a strong XI that included the likes of Kane Williamson, Virat Kohli and Steve Smith among others.

Sangakkara retired from Test cricket in August 2015 after an illustrious career that saw him amass 12,400 runs in 134 matches at an average of 57.40. He is also the joint-fastest to reach 10,000 Test runs, alongside Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara.
