The 2024 Scanwell Logistics Golf Tournament, held recently, attracted over 100 participants from across Sri Lanka, including players from Anuradhapura, Kandy, and Colombo. This remarkable turnout underscored the strategic role Scanwell Logistics plays in fostering young golfing talent nationwide, bridging the gap between urban and rural areas, and demonstrating its commitment to promoting golf at the grassroots level as well as enhancing its brand reputation as a key player in empowering youth and building community engagement through the sport of golfing. This event overall provided emerging golfers with a valuable platform to showcase their skills on a national stage, reinforcing Scanwell Logistics’ long-term investment in shaping the future of this sport in Sri Lanka.
Scanwell Logistics Colombo Managing Director Andy Anderson, and Executive Director Priyan Seilman, by giving leadership to this event, have been instrumental in not only benefitting the players but also in strengthening Scanwell Logistics’ position as a business that prioritizes sustainable growth through youth development and sports promotion.

The tournament featured competitive categories with exceptional performances across all age groups and skill levels. In the Copper Category, Yuvan Rathis Kanth claimed victory with a score of 31 Gross, while in the Bronze Category, Lavindu Premarathne triumphed with 57 Gross. The Silver Category saw Thejas Rathis Kanth take the top spot with 73 Gross, and in the highly competitive Gold Category, Adithya Weerasinghe emerged as the winner with a score of 76 Gross. Notably, Adithya Weerasinghe from Ananda College, Colombo, was also awarded the prestigious Scanwell Logistics Overall Winner title, further cementing his status as a rising star in Sri Lanka’s golfing scene.
