Schools Sevens to kick off on 18 Dec.

Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association, with the support of Ministry of Health and Sports, will kick-start the Schools Sevens on 18 December. The first event will take place in the Western Province with 12 teams each locking horns on 18 and 19 December at the Royal Sports Complex.

The Central Province event will be worked off at the Trinity College Rugby Stadium at Pallekelle on 27 December with eight teams locking horns. Meanwhile, an equal number of teams will play for honours in Wayamba (28 December), Sabaragamuwa (30 December), and Southern (31 December).

This will be the only opportunity for players who are in the last year of their school rugby career.
