Kandy after having a shocking first half when the soldiers replied with equal number of two, tries to hold the much fancied Kandy outfit 14, a piece at the short breather in Panagoda where the game was played under tough conditions with water logged ground.

But after the turn around, it was Kandy all the way when the hosts conceded the game with three unanswered tries by the champion outfit who pulled off a 33/14 win and awaits the cops to Nittawela in their next outing.
