The second trials for junior golfers for selections of the national and development squads will take place at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) starting on 9 August and continue till 13 August.
The initial day will be a practice session for all the players.
Both Chanaka Perera and Taniya Balasuriya won the first trials which took place at RCGC a few weeks back.
Chanaka, who had an outstanding start with a score of 68, totalled 285 over the four days of golf in the initial trials. Chalitha Pushpika followed with the second place of a score of 294. Meanwhile, another sensational youngster from the Central Hills, Haroon Aslam ended tied at number 6 position with U.A. Ranasinghe.
The youngest in the event, 13-year old Reshan Algama showed lot of promise when he was placed 13th in the list with some top powerful long shots with top class accuracy.
Three girls teed off the first leg of the event. Kayla Perera, another sensational youngster who missed out the first leg, will play in the second leg at RCGC.
