Former Sri Lanka Women’s wicket-keeper batter Dilani Manodara smacked 92 off 78 balls (12 fours) and another former Sri Lanka Women’s all-rounder Malsha Shehani scored a half-century off 43 balls (7 fours) and captured three wickets for three runs to help Air Force SC A beat Air Force SC B by 211 runs.

A combined bowling effort coupled with an undefeated 55 off 62 balls (4 fours, 3 sixes) by National women’s cap Hasini Perera saw Navy SC score an easy eight-wicket win over Seenigama CC.

Off-spinner Ganesha Chamari continued to mesmerise the opposition when she took four wickets for eight runs to dismiss Army SC B for 70, and give Army SC A, a resounding 195-run win.

Army SC A’s total of 265-4 came on the back of eighties from national cricketers Imalka Mendis (88 off 113 balls, 12 fours) and Nilakshi Silva (81 off 86 balls, 7 fours, 1 six).

In the other match played at Colts grounds, Chilaw Marians CC recorded a comfortable win by 97 runs against Colts CC. (ST)
