Shane appointed non-voting member in SLR Exco

Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) has appointed former Trinitian and top-class administrator Shane Dullewa as a non-voting member of SLR Executive Committee for the 2022/24 period.

Dullewa the former rugby player, Planter was a former Secretary of SLR for two years, Sri Lanka’s representative at the Asia Rugby Football Union (ARFU) Rugby Asiad Exco Meeting held in Thailand in 2002.

He played for CH and FC in 1973 and later became the Secretary in 1997/98 plus Chairman in 2010/2012. He was also the Manager of the Sri Lanka Rugby Team for the IRB World Cup Qualifying rounds in 2002.

He will be looking into high performance areas both in Men’s and Women’s rugby, changes in tournaments, developing schools and provincial tournaments.
