Singer League 2019 Vidyartha hold the edge in Plate encounter

Strongly placed Vidyartha College will host the visiting Zahira College in their Singer League 2019 Plate encounter today, which will be worked off at the Nittawela Rugby Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled at 4 pm.

Vidyartha College have done well in the plate segment and are tipped to get promoted to the Cup segment in 2020. They are coached by one of their old boys, Navy SC and Sri Lankan player Sumedha Malawena. Zahira, who are going through a lean patch having lost each of their five games in the Cup encounter, badly need a win. They are coached by former Peterite Colin Dinesh.
