Soori Antonians from Backs Coach to Head Coach

Former Isipathana, CR and FC, Up Country Lions, Navy SC and present Kandy SC Full back Srinarth Sooriyabandara, who signed up with St. Anthony’s College, Katugastota for their 2023 rugby season as their Under 20 Backs Coach since March 2023 will take over the Head Coaching role with immediate effect.

Soori after leaving Isipathana represented the national teams in XV a side and Sevens while being considered as a shorter version specialist in the oval ball game. He has been a regular member of the national sevens squad since 2010. At present he plays as a Full back but originally he started as a scrum half switching to fly half position as well when need arises.

Antonians will have Trainer, Indunil Wickremasinghe for the coming season. Hard working old boy of the Arunda Ranasinghe will be the Manager of the team. Sahan Keerthisiri will lead the outfit with Saduka Athukorala his deputy for 2023 season.
