Sports Minister discusses current issues with cricketers

Sports Minister Harin Fernando met Sri Lanka’s national cricketers to discuss issues faced by them.

The current captains including senior cricketers, cricket consultant Sanath Jayasuriya, and chairman of selectors Upul Tharanga took part in the one-hour meeting held at the Tourism Ministry yesterday.

The Minister called the meeting to apprise him of the current situation in cricket and to obtain the views of the cricketers in moving Sri Lanka cricket forward.Among the cricketers present were Kusal Mendis, Angelo Mathews, Wanindu Hasaranga, Dimuth Karunaratne and Charith Asalanka.
