Sri Lanka Cricket to reward Paralympic medal heroes

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) said yesterday its Executive Committee, whilst congratulating the two Sri Lankan Athletes who brought glory to the country during the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, had taken a decision to reward and recognise the outstanding achievement of the duo.

Accordingly, Dinesh Priyantha Herath, who won the Gold medal in the Men’s Javelin Throw F46, and Samitha Dulan Kodithuwakku, who won the Bronze in the Men’s Javelin Throw F44, will be rewarded with a monetary award.

Sri Lanka Cricket said it will present the ‘Recognition’ to the two athletes with the participation of the Youth and Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa.
