The Sri Lanka Navy dominated the Sailing Nationals 2019 which concluded successfully at the picturesque Crow Island Sea Front in the presence of enthusiastic sailing fans.
The event was conducted by the Yachting Association of Sri Lanka the National Sports body for Sailing Sport in Sri Lanka on 28 and 29 December 2019 with the assistance of the Sri Lanka Navy. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy. Boats belonging to all the Sailing classes were represented at this event. The GP14 Class, Laser Standard Class & Windsurfing Class were won by Sri Lanka Navy & the Enterprise Class won by Royal Colombo Yacht Club. Royal College Colombo won the Laser 4.7 Class (Under 19 event) and S.Thomas Mt Lavinia Won the Optimist Class (Under 15 event) and the Laser Radial Class.
