Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) held a cordial meeting with the Tri Forces and Police SC to discuss the shortcomings and reached a common goal to take rugby forward in the country.
SLR President Rizly Illyas stated that the Tri Forces and the Police SC have contributed not only towards rugby but all sports in the country. Of the 8 A-division rugby clubs, 4 of them are Tri Forces and Police SC.
SLR said it would look into discussing with World Rugby bringing about some foreign coaches and trainers to support them. SLR discussed that the U21 and U24 tournaments should be conducted by the Western Province Union as players may be drawn to their clubs.
President Rizly stated that the meeting ended very positively, and the Tri Forces and Police SC would support the SLR with all upcoming tournaments.
