Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) is planning to conduct a series of World Rugby (WR) training and education programs in all provinces during September to December.
With this initiative and during COVID, all registered participants can earn a WR qualification in coaching, refereeing, strength and Conditioning or First Aid in rugby football. These will be conducted by World Rugby trainers and educators in Sri Lanka through Zoom and face-to-face.
Meanwhile, a World Rugby Level 1 Coaching (15-a-side) course was delivered via Zoom for the first time by Sri Lanka Rugby by World Rugby Trainer Nihal Guneratne and World Rugby Educator Shamly Nawas.
21 participants were registered from Western Province.
