Sri Lanka Juniors at Under 19 level will be playing in Division 1 of the Asia Rugby Championship during the month of December. The venue is yet to be finalised by Asia Rugby (AR).

Sri Lanka, who played alongside Taipei, Hong Kong and Korea, were placed number 4 and will be demoted in 2019. Sri Lanka will play alongside Thailand, Philippines and China.

The school season dragging on even after the Advanced Level examinations due to the terrorist attack will see an end during the month of August when the Milo Knockout and Sevens will take place. A usual Kandy vs. Colombo encounter will take place soon after to select the touring squad.

Sri Lanka Under 19 is also expected to feature in the sevens format of the game during the latter part of August with Hong Kong very likely to host the event once more.
