Sri Lanka Wheelchair Tennis team places 6th at World Cup

The Sri Lankan Wheelchair Tennis outfit placed 6th in Italy at the Wheelchair Tennis World Cup which concluded recently.

Sri Lanka beat Brazil, Belgium and Poland while going down to France and Japan. Led by Suresh Dharmasena, Lasantha Ranaweera and D.M. Gamini, the outfit was coached by Jagath Welikala. Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) along with the Army launched wheelchair tennis two decades ago in Sri Lanka. (SJ)
