Forerunner to picking SL Under-19 squad for2026 Under-19 World Cup

The cricket grounds at Saliyapura and Samadhi in Anuradhapura will be the venues for the Sri Lanka Youth Under-17 League, which will serve as a forerunner towards picking the Sri Lanka Under-19 squad for the Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2026 in Zimbabwe and Namibia.

Five teams are participating in this five-day tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Cricket which will run from 21-30 August.

The participating teams are Kandy, Galle, Dambulla, Colombo South, and Colombo North.

The fixtures:

21 August: Kandy v Galle at Saliyapura; Colombo North v Colombo South at Samadhi
22 August: Dambulla v Colombo South at Saliyapura; Kandy v Colombo North at Samadhi
24 August: Colombo South v Kandy at Saliyapura; Galle v Dambulla at Samadhi
25 August: Galle v Colombo North at Saliyapura; Dambulla v Kandy at Samadhi
27 August: Colombo North v Dambulla at Saliyapura; Colombo South v Galle at Samadhi
28 August: 1st Semi-Final (1 v 4) at Saliyapura; 2nd Semi-Final (2 v 3) at Samadhi
30 August: Final at Samadhi
