Sri Lanka Women cricketers began the Women’s Under-19 T20 Tri-Series with a comprehensive 69-run win against New Zealand Women at Brisbane yesterday.

Player of the Match Rashmika Sewwandi struck a belligerent 36* off 19 balls (2 fours, 3 sixes) to help Sri Lanka to a decent total of 148-7.

New Zealand crumbled for 79, falling to the right-arm seam of Sewwandi (2/14) and Pramudi Methsara (3/6).
