Reuters: Sri Lankan fast bowling coach Rumesh Ratnayake said on Sunday (12 November) that playing against India on their home turf was a huge challenge, but they were ready for it.
The game plan is ready, and, hopefully, the execution comes out right, said Ratnayake, while addressing a news conference in India’s eastern Kolkata city.
Sri Lanka and India are scheduled to play three-match Test series, beginning 16 November, and three one day internationals and as many T20s.
The islanders are yet to win a Test match on Indian soil, and, with this series, they are hoping to register their first victory in India.
The team is looking forward to change that record, the 53-year-old coach added.
During July-September, the visiting Virat Kohli-led side had whitewashed the Lankan team in all three formats of the game.
