Sri Lankan Table Tennis players both Men’s and Women’s Teams ended at number eight at the Commonwealth Games Table Tennis championship 2019 which took place at the Jawahar Lal Nehru Indoor Stadium, India.

Women’s

Sri Lanka lost out to Wales in the seventh place play off 3/0.

Hursey Anna beat Ishara Madurangi 11/05, 11/05, 14/12 and in the second encounter Carey Charlotte beat Bimandee Bandara 06/11, 11/ 06, 11/ 03, 11/02 and in the last encounter Whitton Lara beat Chamathsara Fernando 11/03, 11/08, 08/11, 11/04.

Men’s

Sri Lanka lost out to Australia in the play off for the seventh position.

Hu Heming beat Nirmala Jayasinghe 12/10, 08/11, 08/11, 11/08, 11/05 while in the second singles, Power David beat Krishan Wickramaratne 11/05, 12/10, 11/06. In the last singles Chambers Dillon beat Rohn Sirisena 11/06, 05/11, 11/08, 11/04 as the Australian won 3/0.
