Sri Lanka gets set to host Li Ning International Badminton Challenge

Sri Lanka is pitching up to host the Li Ning Sri Lanka International Challenge 2024 from 5 to 11 February. The tournament boasts a substantial total prize money of $ 15,000 and is set to attract top-notch players from around the globe which currently has brought in over 300 players from 19 countries.

Organised by Sri Lanka Badminton, the tournament will take place at the Indoor Stadium located within the District Sports Complex in Dadalla, Galle. With the sanction of both the Badminton World Federation (BWF) and Badminton Asia (BA), the event promises to be a showcase of world-class badminton talent.

The draw for the tournament is scheduled to take place on 23 January. The tournament’s schedule is packed with intense matches, starting with qualifying rounds on 5 February and culminating in the Finals on Sunday 11 February.

Li Ning International Challenge 2024 schedule:

  •  Monday 5 February: Qualifying Rounds
  •  Tuesday, 6 February: Qualifying Rounds / Preliminary Rounds
  •  Wednesday, 7 February: Preliminary Rounds
  •  Thursday, 8 February: Preliminary Rounds
  •  Friday, 9 February: Quarter Finals
  •  Saturday, 10 February: All Semi-Finals
  •  Sunday, 11 February: All Finals

The tournament promises a week of high-stakes badminton action, as players compete to secure victory and a share of the substantial prize money. Badminton enthusiasts are encouraged to mark their calendars and witness the thrilling competition unfold at the Indoor Stadium in Dadalla, Galle.
