Malaysia beat Sri Lanka 31/26 in their encounter which was played in Malaysia last weekend. Sri Lanka will now focus hard at training for their next tour end of this month for the Asia Rugby Championship Division 1 in Taipei.

Winner of this event will be promoted to ARC Top 3 in 2020 while the 4th placed team will be demoted to Division II in 2020. Sri Lanka will play Philippines in their opening game on 29 May. Currently a squad of 37 players are training the touring squad will be reduced to 26 players.

New Zealander, Matt Lee will be the Head Coach of the unit with Fazil Marija and Viraj Prasanna assisting him on tour.
