Sri Lanka Under-19 cricketers completed their warm-up matches ahead of ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup with a defeat by seven wickets at the hands of India at Pretoria on Wednesday.
Choosing to bat first Sri Lanka could manage only 208-9 with Dinura Kalupahana making a top score of 67 off 108 balls (3 fours). Left-arm spinner Musheer Khan was the pick of the Indian bowlers with three wickets. He also played a crucial role in India’s run chase contributing 51 off 52 balls (6 fours, 1 six) along with skipper Uday Saharan (50 off 64 balls, 4 fours) as India reached their target with 52 balls to spare.
Sri Lanka opens their World Cup campaign against Zimbabwe at Kimberley on Sunday.
