Chamindu Wickramasinghe |
Sri Lanka has made three changes to their ODI squad that won the three-match series against India 2-0 in August, for the three-match series against West Indies starting at Pallekele on Sunday.
The 16-member squad led by Charith Asalanka includes uncapped ODI all-rounder Chamindu Wickramasinghe who in all probability will make his debut during the series.
Wickramasinghe is one of the changes replacing another all-rounder Chamika Karunaratne. The other two changes are the inclusion of leg-spinner Jeffrey Vandersay for off-spinner Akila Dananjaya and fast bowler Mohamed Shiraz for Matheesha Pathirana.
A notable absentee from the ODI line up is Kusal Perera who scored a match winning half-century with Kusal Mendis for Sri Lanka to clinch the T20I series against West Indies 2-1 for the first time.
The squad comprises 10 players who figured in the recently concluded three-match T20I series against West Indies.
