Chamidu Wickramasinghe

Sri Lanka has named the same squad that toured New Zealand for three ODIs, minus all-rounder Chamidu Wickramasinghe, for the two-match ODI series against Australia starting at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium tomorrow.

The squad strength for New Zealand was 17 players, but has been reduced to 16 for the home ODIs against Australia, leaving out Wickramasinghe.

The two ODIs – both day games – will take place on 12 and 14 February.

In Australia’s squad of 17, there has been quite a bit of change since it was first announced in early January. Four players have dropped out of the original 15-man group, with Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Mitch Marsh injured, while Marcus Stoinis has retired. In come Test squad members Sean Abbott and Cooper Connolly, along with domestic stars Jake Fraser-McGurk, Ben Dwarshuis, Spencer Johnson, and Tanveer Sangha.
