Sri Lanka team leaves for Davis Cup in Jordan

The Sri Lanka Tennis outfit has left for Amman in Jordan for the Asia/Oceania Group III to be staged from 15 to 20 September. 

Former Davis Cup player Renouk Wijemanne is the coach plus non-playing captain; the outfit possesses experienced players such as Yasitha de Silva who will be playing his 4th Davis Cup while Thehan Wijemanne, the son of former Davis Cup player Sanjay Wijemanne, will be booking his second Davis Cup appearance in Jordan. Vibuda Wijebandara and Chaturya Nilaweera will be making their debut in the 2021 Davis Cup event in Amman.
