Sri Lanka win U19 WC opener

Sri Lanka won their opening match of the Under-19 cricket World Cup when they beat Zimbabwe by 39 runs (DLS method) at Kimberly yesterday.

Sri Lanka scored 204 with Dinura Kalupahana scoring 60 and Sharujan Shanmuganathan 41. 

Zimbabwe was dismissed for 89 off 21.1 overs after being set a revised target of 129 off 22 overs after rain interrupted play.

Spinner Malsha Thirupathi took 4/17. Man of the match was Dinura Kalupahana.
