Sri Lankan girls secure number 7

Sri Lanka Under-17 Girls ended up at 7th place at the Asian Under-17 event that took place at Sports City in Dubai yesterday.  The Japan girls’ team secured the Asian berth along with their boys’ outfit for the Youth Commonwealth Games in Argentina 2018.

Sri Lanka were handed off by Japan 70/0, Thailand 54/0 to end in the playoff for the 7th position in the 12 team event. In the playoff for the 7th place, the Sri Lankan girls beat Iran 12/5.
