Sri Lions sinks Navy

In another Inter Club League encounter Sri Lions secured their second win when they got the better of Sri Lanka Navy Sports Club by 39 points (5 tries, 4 conversions, 2 penalties) to 33 points (5 tries, 4 conversions) at Welisara last evening.

At the short breather Sri Lions led 28/7.

Sri Lions scored their tries through Dulaj Navodya, Aaron Perera, Prasad Madushanka, Kaveesha Iduranga and Anuradha Silva. Chanaka Chandimal put over 4 conversions while one each penalties were taken successfully by Chanaka Chandimal and Anuradha Silva.

Sailors’ tries were scored by Denuwan Wickramarachchi, Imanka Ishara, Thilina Weerasinghe and Stephan Gregory and Pramudith Epa. Thilina Weerasinghe converted 4 of the tries.

Referee was Kelum Sandaruwan.
