Sriharan wins Victoria Golf Resort’s June Monthly Medal

Ganesan Sriharan emerged victorious in the June edition of the Victoria Golf Resort (VGR) Monthly Medal, a prestigious tournament that consistently attracts top local and overseas members alike.

Fowler Watt displayed exceptional control and strategy to secure the Ladies Nett Winner title with a score of 74. Anumi Karunatilake, the youngster from Good Shepherd Convent, followed closely behind, earning the Nett Runner-up position with a score of 75. 

Ahalya Rajan reigned supreme in the Ladies Gross division, showing her consistent performances and accuracy throughout the course with a gross score of 88 while Pauline Morley’s impressive display secured her the Ladies Gross Runner-up title with a score of 113.

The Gents competition proved equally thrilling. Haroon Aslam, back on a short holiday from his studies and golf in USA, was in sparkling form and strategic play earned him the Nett Winner title with a score of 70 nett C/B, while Saliya Jayaweera’s solid performance secured the Nett Runner-up position with 70 nett C/B.

Eric Ou emerged victorious in the Gents Gross segment, demonstrating exceptional control and shot-making with a score of 82, while Aslam Mohideen added another impressive result to the tournament, finishing as the Gents Gross Runner-up with a score of 88.

Sriharan’s well-rounded performance across both Nett and Gross segments ultimately earned him the coveted Overall Winner title for June.

Longest Drive in the Ladies segment was won by Ahalya Rajan while the Closest to the Pin award was won by Fowler Watt. In the Gents segment, Longest Drive was won by Eric Ou with Sriharan having a field day winning the Closest to the Pin.
