St. Sylvester’s emerge victorious

Trinity became runner-up at the Boxing event in Nawalapitiya

• All-Island Youth Boxing Championship 2019

Trinity College stamped their class in the All Island Youth Boxing Championship 2019 when they came Runner-up for the Gen Jagath Jayasuriya Shield in Nawalapitiya recently. The event was won by St. Sylvester’s College Kandy. Sylvester’s accounted for three Golds and one Bronze while Trinity took away one Gold, two Silvers and one Bronze.

Rugby player turned boxer Rahul Danaraj won the Gold while another famed rugby player Miranga Subasinghe won the Silver. Nathan John walked away with the Bronze.
