Staff of Siyapatha Finance show off skills at Finance House Sports Fiesta

Women’s Cricket Tournament Runners-Up Siyapatha Finance Women’s Cricket Team with Siyapatha Finance Managing Director Ananda Seneviratne

This year’s Finance House Sports Fiesta saw the staff of Siyapatha Finance PLC walk away with a number of accolades, bringing pride to the organisation. Initiated by the Finance Houses Association of Sri Lanka, the Sports Fiesta is an annual event created to present members of the finance sector with the chance to enjoy a day of fun, sports, entertainment and fellowship.  The FHA Sports Festival 2019 was organised by Siyapatha Finance along with the FHASL under the guidance of of the Siyapatha Finance Managing Director and Sports Committee Chairman Ananda Seneviratne and FHASL Chairman Roshan Abeygoonewardena.

Held recently at the Bloomfield Grounds, the fiesta was made up of a number of activities including cricket, rugby, athletics, volleyball, netball, and an FHA ‘King and Queen’ competition. This year’s FHA King and runner-up were both from Siyapatha Finance. The Siyapatha Team secured the runner-up prize at the Women’s Cricket Tournament while the Best Female Cricketer award went to a member of the Siyapatha Finance staff.

Central Bank Sri Lanka (CBSL) Deputy Governor S. R. Attygalle and CBSL Supervision of Non-Bank Finance Institutions Director W. Ranaweera were the chief guests at the occasion. The managing directors and CEOs of other finance companies were also present.

“It was a great opportunity for Siyapatha Finance to organise the Finance House Sports Fiesta this year. Through the combined efforts of the staff of Siyapatha Finance and the members of the FHA Sports Committee, the fiesta was a tremendous success. I could not be prouder of the performance of our staff members,” said Seneviratne.
