Standard Chartered hosts SC Cup 2023 awarding champions with prize of lifetime

  • Champions Dialog win Grand Prize to tour UK and witness live LFC EPL game at Anfield

 

The Standard Chartered Cup 2023, a 5-a-side Futsal tournament organised by Standard Chartered Sri Lanka, concluded at the Racecourse Grounds, Colombo on 8 July. 

Competing amongst 11 corporate and business banking teams, Dialog Axiata PLC emerged winners of the prestigious SC Cup 2023 and will enjoy an experience of a lifetime – an all-inclusive paid trip to the UK to witness a live Liverpool FC (LFC) English Premier League (EPL) game at Anfield and a tour of Anfield Stadium, home of the Mighty Reds.

Dialog Axiata PLC emerged as champions following a nail-biting final with John Keells Group who were the defending champions. Both teams scored two goals each during the game, following which, Dialog finally triumphed through penalties (2-1). The Runners-up, JKH, as well as Ebony Holdings (2nd Runners-up) walked away with signed LFC jerseys.
