TTSC Carom Championships on 15 February

The first event on the Travel Trade Sports Club’s (TTSC) multi-event calendar for 2020, the 7th Carom Championships, will be held on 15 February at the Galadari Hotel’s ‘Bougainvillea’ PDR, commencing at 8.00 a.m.

The tournament will be conducted as a team event for the men and as an open event for the women.

The men’s team event will consist of three singles and two doubles fixtures, with the winner being chosen on a best-of-three basis. The women’s open event will consist of a singles tournament and a doubles competition.

The teams participating in the men’s team championship are Hemas Aviation, Cinnamon Lakeside, Anantara Resort, Kalutara, Mount Lavinia Hotel, Whittalls Travels, Wild Cost Lodge, Yala, Cinnamon Grand Colombo and Turrya Resort, Kalutara.

In the previous tournament held on 23 February at the same venue, the Turrya Resort, Kalutara Team won the men’s team championship for the first time, while Buddhini Dias from Colombus Tours won the women’s singles title and went on to win the doubles event, partnering Farhana Agees from Hemas Aviation.
