The postponed fifth Ceylon Biscuits Ltd., sponsored, CBL – Munchee Trophy – MCA ‘D’ Division 40-Over League Tournament 2025 final , between Teejay Lanka and HNB Finance will take place tomorrow at the MCA Grounds, commencing 10 a.m.
Earlier the final which was scheduled to be played on 25 January at the same venue was postponed due to bad weather.
15 teams pooled into three groups participated in the tournament. At the completion of the round –robin, HNB Finance finished on top of Group ‘B’ and Teejay Lanka did likewise in Group ‘C’. In the knock-out stage, Teejay Lanka beat Seylan Bank in the quarter finals and beat Power Hands Plantations in the semi finals; HNB Finance beat Abans Group in the quarter finals and beat Central Finance in the semi finals.
