Thanga leading in tandem

The third day of the National Ranking Golf Tournament for August 2024 at the Royal Colombo Golf Club saw some dramatic finishes and shifting leaderboards, setting the stage for an exciting final round today.

 In the Gents division, Nadaraja Thangaraja (201) continued his strong performance, maintaining his top position of the standings. However youngster, Kumar Danushan  claimed number 2 position with a score of 217, who made a surge up the leaderboard with a great round of golf, keeping the pressure on the overnight leader though 16 strokes behind.

Followed at number 3 and 4 are Pushpika 217 and Uwise 222 engaged in a tight battle for the top spot. Pushpika’s consistent play has kept him in contention, while Uwise’s gutsy performance has him in right in the mix, setting up a thrilling final-day showdown.

 Adding to the excitement is the emergence of Yannik (223), who ended on number 5 position with some impressive golf. 

In the Ladies segment Sanduni Wanasinghe secured top position with one day to play.

With the final day today, the stage is set for a good conclusion to the National Ranking Tournament which was organised and conducted by Sri Lanka Golf.
