Thangaraja wins August National Ranking Golf Championship

The August National Ranking Golf Championship 2024 saw some top class golf by pro Nadaraja Thangaraja, who continued his lead from the inception till the end at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC), to win the championship yesterday.

Thangaraja delivered an outstanding performance to secure the top position with a total score of 270. His consistent play across all four days of the tournament set him apart from others in the competition.

Chalitha Pushpika followed in second place with a score of 293, demonstrating his ability to navigate challenging course conditions with skills and determination.

The third place was a tightly contested battle, resulting in a four-way tie. Chanaka Perera, Uditha Jayasuriya, Husni Uwise, and P.D.S.U. Kumara all finished with a score of 297, showing the depth of talent present in Sri Lanka’s golfing community.

Sanduni Wanasinghe won the ladies’ event with a score of 375.

Sri Lanka Golf organised and conducted this event, giving exposure to the golfing talent in the country.
