The Business School annual cricket tournament

The annual LCT PL (Limitless Champion Trophy Premier League) Cricket Tournament of The Business School (TBS) was recently held at the Mahaiyawa playground. 

TBS students competed with each other to lay claim for the Limitless Champion Trophy under eight teams: Tesla, Porsche, Hummer, Jaguar, Range Rover, Ferrari, Bugatti and Mustang. Each team consisted of eight members, including two females and the trophy was won by Team Tesla led by Lahiru Madhusanka. 

Each match consisted of six overs. Team Range Rover, led by Harshana won emerged the runner up while Team Porsche led by Raghu Niruban won the Plate title. Namal of Team Range Rover won the trophy for best batsman and Samitha from the same team won the trophy for best bowler. Nayomi of the Porche team was crowned the best female bowler.

Tesla’s Sunanda was the man of the match in the finals while Lahiru Madhusanka, the captain of the Team Tesla, was the Man of the Match, taking five wickets and five catches and scoring a total of 68 runs. 

In addition, the eight teams conducted a logo exhibition, a team power show competition and a T-Shirt fashion show with dances from each team were held during the competition to make the competition more interesting. 

There was also a very intense match between TBS and Royal Classic Resort – Kandy, an institution which worked together with TBS since its inception. The competition had TBS taking away the winning trophy. Other invitees for LCT PL included the management of Pan Asia Bank, the official banking partner of TBS.
