The Omega Trophy Golf 2024 to tee off today

The prestigious Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) is set to host the highly anticipated Third Omega 3-person scramble play format golf tournament today.

There will be 2 shotgun starts with the first one at 7 a.m. and the other one later at 1 p.m. in the afternoon.

Golf enthusiasts will gather for a day of competitive play, with this year’s tournament featuring Texas 3-member scramble format with 138 golfers competing in groups of three, showcasing their skills on the renowned course. This event will be worked off in 18 holes with a 3-person scramble. In case of a tie, the Count Back method would be used. The winning team will tour Switzerland to watch the European tour event Omega Classics in 2025.

This marks the third year of Omega’s sponsorship, showing the brand’s support for golf and commitment to the sport in Sri Lanka. This event is a cherished tradition at RCGC, attracting both amateur and seasoned golfers eager to test their mettle against one another.
