Dushmantha Chameera (Dubai Capitals) runs out Martin Guptill (Sharjah Warriors)
Maheesh Theekshana (Sharjah Warriors) receives the White Belt as the highest wicket-taker of the tournament
Sri Lanka white ball bowlers Maheesh Theekshana and Dushmantha Chameera have shown fine form in the ongoing International League T20 in the UAE.
Theekshana with 6 wickets (avg. 7.83) and Chameera with 5 wickets (avg. 10.80) are the leading wicket-takers in the tournament. Both bowlers came up with their best performances but unfortunately finished on the losing side. Theekshana as the highest wicket-taker so far is the holder of the White Belt.
Playing for Sharjah Warriors Theekshana took 4/15 against Gulf Giants who went onto win the contest by 31 runs.
Chameera appearing for Dubai Capitals figured in all five dismissals against Sharjah Warriors who won by five wickets. He ran out Martin Guptill and took the wickets of Johnson Charles, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Niroshan Dickwella and Lewis Gregory to end with figures of 4/28 runs, but Warriors reached their target of 171 in 18.5 overs.
