Theekshana fit for England match

Sri Lanka spinner Mahesh Theekshana who suffered pain in his right leg during the World Cup match against Netherlands at Lucknow on Saturday has been passed fit and will be available for selection for the match against England on Thursday at Bengaluru.

A Sri Lanka Cricket media release states, “An MRI scan taken of the player showed no new aggravation of his recent hamstring injury, which Theekshana sustained during the concluded Asia Cup 2023. He took part in team practices on Tuesday and will be available for Sri Lanka’s upcoming contest against England.”
