Thomians, Bishopians stamp their class at schools aquatic championship

S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia and Bishop’s College put up a great performance at the 14th Annual All Island Sri Lanka Schools Age Group Novices Aquatic Championships 2022 when they emerged as overall champions in both Swimming and Diving events for Boys and Girls respectively at the Sugathadasa Swimming Pool Complex recently.

Thomian swimmers won the Boys segment by collecting 103 points while the Peterites came second with 88 points. Thomians also won the overall Novices Boys Diving Championship with 67 total points with a team of seven divers.

In the Girls event, Bishops won Novices Girls Diving Champions with 30 points. They also accounted for the girls swimming championship by collecting 79 points.

Sangamiththa Girls School, Galle was runner-up with 60 points.
