Thomians and Peterites declared joint champs of 5th TPT Hockey

St. Peter’s College and S. Thomas’ College emerged joint champions in the Under 19 segment of the 5th Annual TPT Hockey Tournament, which took place in Bambalapitiya recently.

All three leading schools, St. Peter’s College, S. Thomas’ College and Trinity College, organised this annual event for the fifth consecutive year.

The Old Peterites beat the Old Thomians 4-0 in the Over 40 segment while in the Under 14 event, S. Thomas’ beat Trinity 1-0. However, Trinity claimed the Under 16 event by beating the Thomians 1-0.

The Under 30 and Under 40 finals did not take place due to inclement weather and both schools were declared joint champions. (SJ)
