Under-14 champions Thomian outfit

S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia stamped their authority when they won the Cup Championship of the Under-14 All Island Elite Ten-A-Side Rugby Tournament 2024, beating Science College 12/5 in the Cup final at the Sugathadasa Stadium yesterday.
The Thomian outfit had Co-Captains Tehan Dammage and Yokitha Perera, while the team was coached by Viranjaya Silva and Oshada Weerasekera.
Zahira beat St. Peter’s 14/5 to secure the Plate, while the Bowl was won by Isipathana, defeating 2022 and 2023 champions Wesley 17/5. Trinity had to satisfy themselves with the Shield win, beating Vidyartha. The first day of the tournament was played at CR and FC and the Sugathadasa Stadium, with 64 teams locking horns in this year’s event.
