Thomian skipper Chariya Kurukulasuriya |
Teran Karunanayake will lead the Joes outfit
|
Unbeaten Joe’s will be all out to continue their winning streak when they lock horns Thomians in their
second encounter which will be played for Lady Jayathilake Trophy which will take place at Havelock Park, 2 July.
Joes had an easy outing against Kingswood winning it 34/3. Meanwhile, Thomians put up a brave display before going down against Trinity 13/20. Thomians failed to convert their territory advantage in to points, which was the final difference between the two teams. Joes will heavily depend on skipper Teran Karunanayake and are well supported by Naven Marasinghe and Vihanga Randeepa.
Thomians are led by Chariya Kurukulasuriya, the crack number eight who had an outstanding game against Trinity in week one. He will be well supported by Shenal Fernando, Viyan de Silva and Jadena Koch as their seniors in the outfit.

Royal hold clear edge
Royal who had a tough outing against the Antonians and winning in the end 22/12 will be led by Harshith Peiris while the Kingswoodians will be led by Randila Ranaweera with Eshara Dissanayake and Imanka Ishara to support them through their experience.
Royal should have things their own way playing at home and Kingswood looks a weaker opponent.

Peterites to continue winning form in the Hills
Peterites after a tough first half against Rajans went on to win it comfortably in the end. They will be in the Central Hills meeting Vidyartha at Nittawela today. Though the home team could throw out some tough competition in the initial half, the lads from Bambalapitiya should have things their own way in the end with a superior level of fitness. The lads from Bamba should make sure to contain the opposition in the initial half.

Rajans out for first win
Rajans hold the edge over the Science outfit but they should have the game playing at their home ground. Rajans will be led by their Co-Captains, Sawmya Wijesiri and Thenuka Wickremasinghe with Dilshan Sasanka, Ramidha Ratnayake and Kasun Seneviratne to support them with their experience. Science is an unknown quantity that could spoil any one’s party.
