Three centurions emerged in the ongoing 6th Fairfirst Insurance Trophy – MCA ‘F’ division 25-over league tournament 2024, continued last weekend, 10 and 11 February.
Kamal Wijesiri from EB Creasy hit a sparkling 100 in 71 balls, inclusive of 5 sixes and 10 fours Vs Empire Tea; Wijesiri while getting to his ton was associated in a 137 runs stand for the 3rd wicket in 80 balls, with S. Amunugama (72 runs in 39 balls, inclusive of 5 sixes and 7 fours) as EB Creasy, batting first put up a challenging 256 for 5 in 25 overs, and went on to win by 40 runs.
Ceylon Tobacco Co. openers, Harith Samarasinghe (116 in 72 balls, inclusive of 7 sixes and 9 fours) and J. Pemasiri (117 not out in 77 balls, inclusive of a six and 18 fours) were engaged in a hurricane 241 runs opening stand in 147 balls, which helped CTC, batting first to score 247 for 1 in 25 overs vs South Asia Gateway Terminal (SAGT).

The tournament will be continued on 17 and 18 February with a match card of 12 half day matches.
